Metin Kutusu: Polymers have been the most widely used materials in Europe and USA, surpassing steel, copper, and aluminum in combined volume since 1976. Turkish plastics industry ranks 2nd in Europe after Germany and 7th in the world. Besides all, rising oil prices, and growing environmental concerns, some insufficient properties of polymers force researchers to develop polymer composites for various fields such as automotive, electronics, biomedical. Trends in polymer engineering encourage people to work on innovative manufacturing processes for polymer based products . The currently research areas of PPL are listed below. We feel pleasure to be part of this branch of science & technology and we are glad to share our researches with you from here.
